Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs (900g) Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch (2.5 cm) cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika

Instructions:

  1. Peel (optional, but recommended for that proper chip shop feel) and chop the potatoes into even-sized cubes.
  2. Toss the potatoes in a large bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Ensure they are evenly coated.
  3. Preheat air fryer (if required by your model). Place the potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd. You may need to cook in batches.
  4. Air fry for 10 minutes at 400°F (200°C). Remove the basket and shake well to ensure even cooking.
  5. Return the basket to the air fryer and continue cooking for another 10-15 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown and crispy. Shake the basket halfway through.
  6. Test for doneness by piercing a potato with a fork. It should be tender inside.
