Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp melted unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lb chicken breast, halved

Instructions:

  1. Whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, melted butter, garlic, ginger, and pepper in a small bowl until the butter is fully emulsified.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels, lightly brush with a neutral oil, and season with a pinch of salt.
  4. Place the chicken in the air fryer basket and cook for 6 minutes until the outside is opaque and lightly browned.
  5. Open the basket and generously brush the prepared maple glaze over the top of the chicken.
  6. Cook for the remaining time, applying a second layer of glaze during the final 2 minutes of cooking.
  7. Remove from the air fryer when the glaze is bubbling and the internal temperature has reached the safe minimum for poultry.
  8. Let the meat rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
