Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp melted unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 lb chicken breast, halved
Instructions:
- Whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, melted butter, garlic, ginger, and pepper in a small bowl until the butter is fully emulsified.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels, lightly brush with a neutral oil, and season with a pinch of salt.
- Place the chicken in the air fryer basket and cook for 6 minutes until the outside is opaque and lightly browned.
- Open the basket and generously brush the prepared maple glaze over the top of the chicken.
- Cook for the remaining time, applying a second layer of glaze during the final 2 minutes of cooking.
- Remove from the air fryer when the glaze is bubbling and the internal temperature has reached the safe minimum for poultry.
- Let the meat rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
