Ingredients:

  • 2 Large Apples (approx. 400g), such as Honeycrisp or Fuji
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp Coconut Oil
  • 1 pinch Sea Salt

Instructions:

  1. Core and slice 2 Large Apples (400g) into 1/4 inch thick wedges. Note: Keeping slices uniform ensures even cooking.
  2. Place 1 tsp Coconut Oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Wait for the oil to shimmer.
  3. Add the apple slices to the pan in a single layer. Hear the gentle sizzle.
  4. Drizzle 1 tsp Maple Syrup over the fruit and add a pinch of Sea Salt. Note: The salt helps release the apple's natural juices.
  5. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, tossing occasionally with a spatula. Watch for the edges to turn translucent.
  6. Pierce a slice with a fork; it should go in easily but the slice should hold its shape.
  7. Remove from heat immediately to prevent overcooking. Notice the glossy, golden glaze.
