Ingredients:
- 6 oz strong hot coffee
- 2 tsp dark brown sugar
- 1.5 oz Irish whiskey
- 1 fl oz heavy whipping cream
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
Instructions:
- Fill a heat-proof glass mug with hot water and let it sit for 2 minutes to preheat; discard the water before assembly.
- Stir the dark brown sugar into the hot coffee until completely dissolved, then stir in the Irish whiskey.
- Pour the chilled heavy cream into a small bowl and whisk or froth until it reaches a thick, pourable consistency (soft peaks).
- Slowly pour the cream over the back of a spoon onto the surface of the coffee to create a distinct floating layer.
- Garnish with a pinch of ground cinnamon if desired.
