Ingredients:
- 2 ¾ cups (330 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup (170 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- Optional: ½ cup (90 g) chocolate chips or nuts for mix-ins
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Add the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Cover and chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
- Using a cookie scoop, drop dough onto a prepared baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
