Ingredients:

  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease the madeleine pan lightly with butter or cooking spray.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth and well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a rubber spatula until just combined.
  6. Using a spoon or piping bag, fill each madeleine mold about two-thirds full with batter.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the tops spring back when lightly touched.
  8. Let the madeleines cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
