Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredient mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips with a rubber spatula.
  7. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
