Ingredients:
- 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2¼ tsp) instant yeast
- 2 tbsp (25g) granulated sugar
- 1 tsp (5g) salt
- 1 cup (240ml) warm milk (about 110°F/43°C)
- ¼ cup (60g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 tbsp (30g) unsalted butter, melted for brushing
- Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix warm milk, melted butter, and beaten eggs.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Turn out onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Punch down the dough, then divide into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball.
- Place shaped rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment, cover, and let rise again for about 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Brush tops with melted butter if desired.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm.
