Ingredients:
- 1 pound gluten-free sausage (such as breakfast sausage or Italian sausage)
- 1 cup gluten-free baking mix (like almond flour or a gluten-free all-purpose blend)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk (or dairy-free alternative)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste (about 1/2 teaspoon)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper if desired.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free sausage, gluten-free baking mix, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, paprika, black pepper, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Add to the sausage mixture and mix until thoroughly combined.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to make the mixture easier to handle.
- After chilling, use your hands to form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
