Ingredients:
- 12 large fresh strawberries (about 1 pound or 450 g)
- 1 cup carob chips (175 g)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (15 mL)
- 1 tablespoon crushed nuts (e.g., almonds or walnuts) (15 g)
- Sea salt flakes for garnish
Instructions:
- Gently wash and dry the strawberries, ensuring no water remains.
- Set up a double boiler or microwave to melt the carob chips and coconut oil together until smooth.
- Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted carob, covering it completely.
- Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet, allowing excess to drip off.
- If desired, sprinkle with crushed nuts or sea salt before the coating sets.
- Refrigerate the baking sheet for at least 30 minutes or until the carob coating hardens.
- Arrange on a plate and enjoy!
