Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of thick-cut bread (such as brioche or sourdough)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (28g), softened
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon (14g)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (50g)
  • 1/2 cup raisins (75g)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  2. Lightly toast the slices of bread until golden, but not too crispy.
  3. Remove from the toaster and generously spread softened butter on each slice.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the buttered slices.
  5. Scatter raisins atop the cinnamon-sugar sweetened bread.
  6. Return to the toaster or place in a frying pan on medium heat until the bread is warm and the sugar slightly melts, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. Slice in half if desired, and enjoy warm!
