Ingredients:
- 3 oz fresh lime juice (about 4-5 limes)
- 2 oz Cointreau (or another triple sec)
- 2 oz silver tequila (preferably 100% agave)
- 1 oz simple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
- Lime wedges (for garnish)
- Sea salt (for rimming the glass, optional)
Instructions:
- If desired, run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass and dip in sea salt to coat.
- Squeeze the limes until you achieve 3 oz of fresh lime juice, discarding any seeds.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine lime juice, Cointreau, tequila, and simple syrup (if using).
- Fill the shaker with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
- Fill prepared glasses with ice and strain the cocktail mixture into each glass.
- Add a lime wedge to each glass for garnish.
