Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 6 oz thick-cut bacon, diced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the trimmed green beans in a 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading them in a single layer, and scatter the diced raw bacon evenly over the top.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder until the sugar is mostly dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Pour the glaze evenly over the beans and bacon, tossing gently with tongs to ensure every bean is thoroughly coated.
  4. Bake for 25–30 minutes until the glaze is bubbly and thickened, and the bacon is crisp and mahogany-colored.
