Ingredients:
- 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons or 7g) instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 ¼ cups (300ml) warm water (about 110°F or 43°C)
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
- 1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup (15g) chopped fresh basil
- ¼ cup (15g) grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, combine warm water and olive oil.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a rough dough forms.
- Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Once risen, punch down the dough, then fold in mozzarella cheese and basil until evenly distributed.
- Form the dough into a loaf shape and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a baking sheet.
- Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the bread for 25 minutes or until golden brown and it sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
