Ingredients:
- 1 can (14 oz / 397 g) sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
- ¼ cup (60 ml) unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and butter over medium heat.
- Stir continuously until the butter is melted and the sugar begins to dissolve.
- Slowly whisk in the sweetened condensed milk while maintaining the heat.
- Keep stirring for about 10-12 minutes until the sauce thickens and turns a golden brown.
- Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, then let cool slightly before transferring to a jar.
