Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Whole Milk Powder (Full Fat preferred)
  • 1 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder (Natural, high-quality)
  • 1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar (Confectioners' Sugar)
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar (Caster Sugar)
  • 2 Tbsp Cornstarch (Cornflour)
  • 1 tsp Fine Sea Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Measure Ingredients: Accurately measure all dry ingredients (milk powder, both sugars, cocoa powder, cornstarch, salt, and cinnamon, if using).
  2. Sift the Base: Place a fine-mesh sieve over a large mixing bowl. Add the cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and cornstarch into the sieve. Sift ingredients gently, pressing any stubborn lumps through with a wooden spoon or spatula. This step is critical for a smooth final drink.
  3. Add Remaining Ingredients: Add the milk powder, granulated sugar, salt, and ground cinnamon (if using) directly into the bowl with the sifted ingredients.
  4. Whisk Thoroughly: Using a wire whisk, gently and thoroughly combine all ingredients for 2–3 minutes until the mixture is uniform in colour and texture. Ensure no pockets of plain white sugar or pure cocoa powder remain.
  5. Storage: Transfer the finished 'Bobby Dazzler' mix into a clean, dry, airtight container for storage.
  6. Preparation Note: To prepare one mug, place 4 Tbsp (50g) of the mix into the mug. Add 1-2 Tbsp of hot milk or water first to create a paste, then slowly pour in the remaining liquid (1 cup total) while whisking vigorously until completely dissolved and steaming hot.
