Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (200g) Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 ½ cups (300g) Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup (120g) Powdered Sugar
  • ½ cup (60g) Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • ½ cup (60g) Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) Salt
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) Ground Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) Ground Nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon (1.25ml) Cayenne Pepper (optional)
  • ¼ cup (30g) Cornstarch

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, granulated sugar, powdered sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cayenne pepper (if using), and cornstarch.
  2. Gently fold in the finely chopped semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips.
  3. Transfer the hot cocoa mix to an airtight container. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 3 months.
  4. For each serving, whisk 2-3 tablespoons of the hot cocoa mix into 1 cup of hot milk. Adjust amount to taste.
  5. Heat the mug in the microwave for 1-2 minutes, or until heated thoroughly. Stir well before serving to ensure the chocolate melts completely. Top with your favorite toppings!
