Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (240 ml) agave syrup or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) water
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together agave syrup (or maple syrup), water, vanilla extract, and salt.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat, stirring gently until the mixture is well combined.
  3. Allow the mixture to simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until it reduces slightly and thickens (it should coat the back of a spoon).
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Pour into a sterilized jar and let it cool completely before sealing.
