Ingredients:
- 4 salmon filets, 6 oz (170g) each
- 1/2 tsp (3g) sea salt
- 1/4 tsp (1g) cracked black pepper
- 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
- 3 tbsp (45ml) honey
- 2 tbsp (30ml) low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp (15g) brown sugar
- 2 cloves (6g) garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp (2g) red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the salmon filets completely dry with paper towels to ensure the glaze adheres.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, low-sodium soy sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Place the filets on the prepared tray and season with salt and pepper. Brush each fillet with olive oil.
- Generously spoon the glaze over each fillet, spreading it evenly to the edges.
- Bake on the center rack for 12 minutes until the glaze is bubbling and charred in spots, and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
