Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon filets, 6 oz (170g) each
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) cracked black pepper
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
  • 3 tbsp (45ml) honey
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp (15g) brown sugar
  • 2 cloves (6g) garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp (2g) red pepper flakes

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the salmon filets completely dry with paper towels to ensure the glaze adheres.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, low-sodium soy sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  4. Place the filets on the prepared tray and season with salt and pepper. Brush each fillet with olive oil.
  5. Generously spoon the glaze over each fillet, spreading it evenly to the edges.
  6. Bake on the center rack for 12 minutes until the glaze is bubbling and charred in spots, and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
