Ingredients:

  • 2 cups rice flour (300g)
  • 3 cups water (720ml)
  • 1 tablespoon salt (15g)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (any neutral oil or sesame oil) (15ml)
  • Fresh herbs (like cilantro or green onions) for garnish
  • Soy sauce or coconut aminos for drizzling

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the rice flour and salt.
  2. Gradually add water, stirring until well combined and smooth.
  3. Let the mixture rest for about 60 minutes to allow the flour to hydrate.
  4. Fill a pot with water and bring to a simmer.
  5. Place the steamer basket or sieve over the pot
  6. Pour the rested mixture into the steamer basket, spreading it evenly.
  7. Cover and steam for about 15 minutes until the mixture is set and no longer sticky.
  8. Once done, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  9. Cut into desired shapes and serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs and drizzled with sauce if desired.
