Ingredients:
- 2 cups rice flour (300g)
- 3 cups water (720ml)
- 1 tablespoon salt (15g)
- 1 tablespoon oil (any neutral oil or sesame oil) (15ml)
- Fresh herbs (like cilantro or green onions) for garnish
- Soy sauce or coconut aminos for drizzling
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the rice flour and salt.
- Gradually add water, stirring until well combined and smooth.
- Let the mixture rest for about 60 minutes to allow the flour to hydrate.
- Fill a pot with water and bring to a simmer.
- Place the steamer basket or sieve over the pot
- Pour the rested mixture into the steamer basket, spreading it evenly.
- Cover and steam for about 15 minutes until the mixture is set and no longer sticky.
- Once done, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Cut into desired shapes and serve warm, garnished with fresh herbs and drizzled with sauce if desired.
