Ingredients:

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 package fruit pectin (approximately 1.75 oz or 49 grams)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Hull and chop the strawberries into small pieces.
  2. Using a potato masher, mash the chopped strawberries until they reach your desired consistency (smooth or chunky).
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed strawberries and lemon juice.
  4. Stir in the granulated sugar until fully dissolved.
  5. Gradually add the fruit pectin while stirring continuously to eliminate lumps.
  6. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to allow it to thicken.
  7. Transfer the jam into the freezer-safe jars, leaving some headspace at the top.
  8. Seal the jars and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before placing them in the freezer.
