Ingredients:
- 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 package fruit pectin (approximately 1.75 oz or 49 grams)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Instructions:
- Hull and chop the strawberries into small pieces.
- Using a potato masher, mash the chopped strawberries until they reach your desired consistency (smooth or chunky).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed strawberries and lemon juice.
- Stir in the granulated sugar until fully dissolved.
- Gradually add the fruit pectin while stirring continuously to eliminate lumps.
- Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to allow it to thicken.
- Transfer the jam into the freezer-safe jars, leaving some headspace at the top.
- Seal the jars and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before placing them in the freezer.
