Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs salmon fillets
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp olive oil
Instructions:
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the light brown sugar, low-sodium soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of olive oil until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Place the seasoned salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
- Pour the garlic brown sugar glaze evenly over each fillet, using a brush or spoon to ensure full coverage.
- Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes. For a deeper mahogany finish, broil for the final 2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Remove from oven when the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium doneness.
