Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillets
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the light brown sugar, low-sodium soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, and 1 teaspoon of olive oil until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  4. Place the seasoned salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Pour the garlic brown sugar glaze evenly over each fillet, using a brush or spoon to ensure full coverage.
  6. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15 minutes. For a deeper mahogany finish, broil for the final 2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
  7. Remove from oven when the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium doneness.
