Ingredients:
- 1 (14 ounce/397g) package Little Smokies sausages
- 1/4 cup (60ml) honey
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (about 1 teaspoon)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) ketchup
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) water (if needed)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) sesame seeds
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
Instructions:
- In a large skillet, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Gently add the Little Smokies to the skillet, ensuring they are coated in the sauce.
- Cook, stirring frequently, until the sausages are heated through and the sauce has thickened and become glossy (about 10-12 minutes). If the sauce becomes too thick, add water, a tablespoon at a time, to reach desired consistency.
- Remove from heat. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve immediately.
