Ingredients:

  • 1 (14 ounce/397g) package Little Smokies sausages
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) honey
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (about 1 teaspoon)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) water (if needed)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) sesame seeds
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced

Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Gently add the Little Smokies to the skillet, ensuring they are coated in the sauce.
  4. Cook, stirring frequently, until the sausages are heated through and the sauce has thickened and become glossy (about 10-12 minutes). If the sauce becomes too thick, add water, a tablespoon at a time, to reach desired consistency.
  5. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve immediately.
