Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of vinegar (120 ml), any type
  • ½ cup of water (120 ml)
  • 1 tablespoon of baking soda (15 g)
  • 1 wire brush or scrubbing pad (non-abrasive)
  • 1 pair of grill gloves (to protect your hands)

Instructions:

  1. In a bucket or spray bottle, combine vinegar, water, and baking soda. Shake or stir gently until well-mixed.
  2. Allow the grill to cool down completely before removal to avoid burns. Lift out the grates and set them on an easy-to-clean surface.
  3. Spray or sprinkle your cleaning solution generously on the grates. Let them sit for about 15-20 minutes to loosen any burnt-on debris.
  4. Use a wire brush or scrubbing pad to clean the grates thoroughly. Focus on areas with heavy residue, applying more cleaning solution if needed.
  5. Rinse the grates under warm running water to remove any remaining cleaning solution. Dry the grates with a clean cloth before reassembling.
  6. For best results, apply a thin layer of cooking oil to the grates to prevent future sticking before using the grill.
