Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1.5 - 2 pounds flank steak, trimmed
Instructions:
- Combine soy sauce, olive oil, red wine vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
- Place flank steak in a zip-top bag or dish. Pour marinade over the meat. Seal or cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to high heat (around 450 - 500°F or 230 - 260°C).
- Remove steak from marinade and shake off excess. Place it on the hot grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip.
- Grill for an additional 4-5 minutes on the other side, or until the internal temperature reaches 130-135°F for medium-rare. Use meat thermometer for accuracy.
- Remove from grill and let rest for 5-10 minutes. Slice against the grain for the best texture.
