Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs chicken drumsticks
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line your baking sheet with foil and place the wire rack on top.
  2. Pat the drumsticks completely dry with paper towels. Toss them in a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
  3. Arrange the chicken on the rack and bake for 30 minutes until the skin is light golden brown and firm.
  4. While the chicken bakes, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, vinegar, and ginger in a bowl until smooth.
  5. Remove the chicken from the oven and generously coat each drumstick with the honey garlic glaze using a pastry brush.
  6. Return the chicken to the oven for another 10–15 minutes.
  7. Remove the chicken and brush on the remaining glaze for a sticky finish.
  8. Switch the oven to Broil for 2–3 minutes until the glaze bubbles and turns a deep mahogany color.
