Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets, 6 oz each
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Tear four large squares of heavy-duty foil. Place one salmon fillet in the center of each square.
  2. Season both sides of the fish with salt and pepper.
  3. Fold the edges of the foil upward to create a 'boat' or shallow tray to prevent the glaze from leaking.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  5. Pour approximately 1.5 tablespoons of the honey garlic mixture over each fillet, spreading it evenly to the edges.
  6. Seal the foil loosely and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes.
  7. Open the foil packets for the last 2 minutes and turn the oven to broil until the glaze is bubbling and mahogany-colored.
  8. Remove from oven when the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium doneness.
