Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (170g) honey
- 1 tsp (5g) red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp (15ml) apple cider vinegar
- 1 lb (450g) pizza dough
- 1/2 cup (120ml) pizza sauce
- 8 oz (225g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 4 oz (115g) pepperoni slices
- 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
- 1/4 cup (10g) fresh arugula
- 2 tbsp (15g) Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Combine honey and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until thin and fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in the apple cider vinegar.
- Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C). If using a cast iron skillet, place it in the oven during preheating.
- Stretch the pizza dough on parchment paper into a 12-inch circle. Brush the edges of the dough with olive oil.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly leaving a 1/2-inch border. Top with shredded mozzarella and pepperoni slices.
- Slide the parchment paper and pizza into the preheated skillet and bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is golden brown and pepperoni is crisp.
- Drizzle infused hot honey in a spiral across the hot pizza. Garnish with fresh arugula and grated Parmesan cheese.
