Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon (10g) matcha green tea powder
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) hot water (not boiling, about 175°F or 80°C)
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1-2 tablespoons (15-30ml) sweetener (honey, agave syrup, or simple syrup)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. In a heatproof bowl, sift matcha powder to eliminate lumps. Pour in hot water and whisk vigorously until smooth and frothy.
  2. Add the desired sweetener to the matcha mixture and stir to combine.
  3. Fill a glass with ice cubes, then pour in milk over the ice.
  4. Gently pour the matcha mixture over the milk, stir to create a marbled effect.
  5. Enjoy immediately with a straw or spoon!
