Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups (355 ml) Water
  • ¾ cup (150 g) Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup (240 ml) Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 2 cups (480 ml) Ice Cubes
  • Optional: Lemon slices or zest for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Let cool completely.
  2. Squeeze fresh lemon juice. Strain to remove pulp if desired.
  3. In a blender, combine the lemon juice, simple syrup (or sugar), water, and ice.
  4. Blend until smooth and slushy. If too thick, add a splash more water. If too thin, add a few more ice cubes.
  5. For optimal texture, pour the mixture into a pitcher and chill in the freezer for 30 minutes to an hour. Stir occasionally to prevent it from freezing solid.
  6. Pour into glasses, garnish with lemon slices or zest, and enjoy!
