Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups (355 ml) Water
- ¾ cup (150 g) Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup (240 ml) Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 2 cups (480 ml) Ice Cubes
- Optional: Lemon slices or zest for garnish
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, combine water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Let cool completely.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice. Strain to remove pulp if desired.
- In a blender, combine the lemon juice, simple syrup (or sugar), water, and ice.
- Blend until smooth and slushy. If too thick, add a splash more water. If too thin, add a few more ice cubes.
- For optimal texture, pour the mixture into a pitcher and chill in the freezer for 30 minutes to an hour. Stir occasionally to prevent it from freezing solid.
- Pour into glasses, garnish with lemon slices or zest, and enjoy!
