Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 pound of pasta (spaghetti, fettuccine, or your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente; reserve ½ cup of cooking water before draining.
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic; sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. Lower the heat; pour in the heavy cream and whisk to combine. Gradually stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  4. Add the drained pasta to the sauce. Mix well
  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
