Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp white miso paste
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 2 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
Instructions:
- Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with a paper towel. Note: Wet fish won't char; it will steam.
- Season lightly with pepper. No need for extra salt since the miso is very salty.
- In a small bowl, whisk white miso paste, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic.
- Mix until the glaze is smooth and no miso lumps remain.
- Coat the salmon fillets generously with the glaze. Note: Cover the tops and sides, but leave the skin mostly clear.
- Preheat the air fryer to 360°F (182°C) and line the basket with parchment.
- Place the fillets skin side down in the basket.
- Cook for 8-12 minutes until the glaze reaches a deep mahogany colored char.
