Ingredients:
- 1 cup (200g) white rice (e.g., jasmine or basmati)
- 1 ¼ cups (300ml) water or broth
- ½ teaspoon salt (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (optional)
- 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
- 1 bay leaf (optional)
Instructions:
- Rinse the rice under cold running water using a fine mesh strainer until water runs clear.
- Add the rinsed rice to the Instant Pot.
- Pour in water or broth, and stir in salt (if using).
- Add olive oil or butter and garlic, if desired.
- Seal the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to Sealing.
- Select Pressure Cook or Manual on high pressure for 10 minutes.
- When cooking is complete
- Remove the lid, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve warm.
