Ingredients:
- 500g fresh okra, trimmed and halved
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh lemon juice (optional, to taste)
Instructions:
- Rinse and dry the okra. Trim the ends and slice them in half lengthwise.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil until shimmering.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant; be careful not to burn it.
- Toss in the okra halves and spread them evenly in the pan.
- Sprinkle with smoked paprika, ground cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir gently to coat.
- Sauté for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the okra is tender and lightly browned.
- Taste for seasoning and add fresh lemon juice if desired. Serve hot.
