Ingredients:
- 1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- Salt, to taste (approximately ½ teaspoon)
- Black pepper, to taste (approximately ¼ teaspoon)
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of ½ lemon
Instructions:
- Wash and trim the ends of the asparagus. Cut into 2-inch pieces for quicker cooking if desired.
- Place a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and let it heat until shimmering.
- Add the asparagus to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are vibrant green and tender-crisp.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Season with salt and pepper.
- Remove from heat. Add lemon zest and juice, tossing to combine.
- Serve warm as a side dish, garnished with extra lemon zest if desired.
