Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 4 Italian sausages
  • 4 hoagie or sub rolls
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • Olive oil, for grilling

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, and lime juice. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
  2. Preheat the skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly brush with olive oil.
  3. Place the Italian sausages in the pan and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F/70°C).
  4. Lightly toast hoagie rolls on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
  5. Spread a generous amount of Sriracha mayo on both sides of each hoagie roll. Place cooked sausage on the bottom half of the roll. Top with shredded lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion.
  6. Place the top half of the roll on, cut in half if desired, and serve immediately.
