Ingredients:
- 4 cups fresh watermelon, cubed (approximately 600g)
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice (about 4-5 limes, approximately 120ml)
- 3 oz (about 90ml) tequila (preferably silver or blanco)
- 1 oz (about 30ml) orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or triple sec)
- 1-2 tablespoons agave syrup (to taste)
- Ice cubes (for blending and serving)
- Sea salt (for rimming glasses, optional)
- Lime wedges (for garnish, optional)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
- Cut watermelon into cubes and remove any seeds.
- In a blender, combine watermelon cubes, lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, and agave syrup.
- Blend until smooth, adjusting sweetness as needed.
- Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove pulp if desired.
- Refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- If rimming with salt, run a lime wedge around the glass rim, then dip into sea salt.
- Fill glasses with ice, pour the watermelon margarita over, and garnish with lime wedges and mint.
