Ingredients:
- 4 salmon fillets, 6 oz each
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels Note: This prevents the fish from steaming and helps the oil stick.
- Rub each fillet with a small amount of avocado oil, salt, and pepper.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the low sodium soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, minced garlic, and grated ginger until smooth and glossy.
- Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
- Spoon the glaze generously over the tops and sides of each piece.
- Roast for 12-15 minutes until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
- Turn the broiler on high for the final 2-3 minutes, watching closely until the glaze bubbles and turns a deep brown.
