Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets, 6 oz each
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels Note: This prevents the fish from steaming and helps the oil stick.
  3. Rub each fillet with a small amount of avocado oil, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the low sodium soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, minced garlic, and grated ginger until smooth and glossy.
  5. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Spoon the glaze generously over the tops and sides of each piece.
  7. Roast for 12-15 minutes until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Turn the broiler on high for the final 2-3 minutes, watching closely until the glaze bubbles and turns a deep brown.
