Ingredients:
- 2 to 3 whole heads of garlic (800g - 1kg)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30ml)
- Salt (to taste)
- Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C).
- Slice off the top ¼ inch of each garlic head to expose the cloves and place them cut-side up in a baking dish.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle salt and pepper over the top.
- Tightly wrap each head in aluminum foil or cover the baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-60 minutes until cloves are soft and golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before handling.
- Use your fingers or a fork to squeeze the roasted garlic cloves from their skins.
- Enjoy warm or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
