Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons (45g) unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) fresh lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) white wine (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the ingredients: peel and devein the shrimp if not already done. Mince the garlic and chop the parsley.
  2. Heat the skillet: place a large skillet over medium heat and add the unsalted butter to melt.
  3. Sauté the garlic: add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp: increase heat to medium-high, add shrimp, season with salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Finish the sauce: flip the shrimp, add lemon juice, and white wine if using. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until fully cooked.
  6. Serve: remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
