Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons (45g) unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) fresh lemon juice
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons (30g) fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 teaspoon (5g) red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) white wine (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the ingredients: peel and devein the shrimp if not already done. Mince the garlic and chop the parsley.
- Heat the skillet: place a large skillet over medium heat and add the unsalted butter to melt.
- Sauté the garlic: add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp: increase heat to medium-high, add shrimp, season with salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Finish the sauce: flip the shrimp, add lemon juice, and white wine if using. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until fully cooked.
- Serve: remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
