Ingredients:

  • 6 oz strong brewed coffee
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1/2 cup vanilla bean ice cream
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 small dark chocolate square

Instructions:

  1. Prepare strong brewed coffee. Stir in the vanilla extract and sea salt while steaming, then let the coffee cool for 60 seconds to avoid thermal shock to the ice cream.
  2. Using a chilled scoop, place two firm spheres of vanilla ice cream into the bottom of a heat-resistant glass or dessert bowl, pressing them down slightly.
  3. Slowly pour the coffee over the edges of the ice cream rather than directly on top to create a marbled, velvety effect.
  4. Finish by dusting the top with cocoa powder and adding a small dark chocolate square.
