Ingredients:
- 4 cups (600g) cubed watermelon, chilled, seeds removed
- 1/2 cup (120ml) water or coconut water
- Juice of 1/2 lime (about 1 tablespoon/15ml)
- 5-6 fresh mint leaves
- Optional: 1 tablespoon (15ml) honey or maple syrup
- Optional: 1/2 cup ice cubes
Instructions:
- Chop the watermelon into cubes, remove any seeds. Pick mint leaves.
- Add watermelon, water (or coconut water), lime juice, and mint leaves to the blender.
- Add honey or maple syrup to taste, if desired.
- Add ice cubes for a thicker, colder smoothie if using fresh (unfrozen) watermelon.
- Blend until all ingredients are completely smooth and there are no chunks.
- Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness or lime juice as needed.
- Pour into glasses and serve immediately. Garnish with a sprig of mint, if desired.
