Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups (190g) chocolate wafer cookies, crushed
- ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 can (14 oz. or 400g) sweetened condensed milk
- ¼ cup (60ml) heavy cream
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp (15g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- Chocolate shavings or curls (optional)
- Fresh berries (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine crushed cookies and melted butter until mixed well. Press mixture firmly into the bottom and sides of the pie dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then allow to cool.
- In a saucepan, combine chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, and vanilla over low heat. Stir constantly until melted and smooth. Pour fudge filling into the cooled crust and spread evenly. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes or until firm.
- In a mixing bowl, beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Spread or pipe whip cream filling over the chilled fudge layer.
- Top with chocolate shavings and fresh berries, if desired. Slice and serve chilled.
