Ingredients:
- 3 large ripe bananas (approximately 1 ½ cups mashed)
- ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon (5g) baking soda
- ½ teaspoon (2g) salt
- 1 ½ cups (190g) all-purpose flour
- Optional: ½ cup (80g) chopped walnuts or chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
- Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together baking soda, salt, and flour.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
- Optional: Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
