Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 packet (30g) taco seasoning
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 8 sticks mozzarella string cheese
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Brown the lean ground beef in a skillet over medium-high heat until no pink remains.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning and water, simmering until the liquid has reduced to a thick glaze.
  3. Unroll the crescent dough and separate into triangles.
  4. Place a tablespoon of the seasoned beef mixture at the wide end of the triangle, then lay one string cheese stick parallel to the beef.
  5. Fold the sides in and roll tightly toward the point, pinching the seams shut to ensure the cheese is fully encased.
  6. Whisk melted butter and garlic powder together and brush generously over each stick.
  7. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes until mahogany-colored, or air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
