Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 cups cooked white or brown rice
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 6 large bell peppers
- ½ cup beef broth or water
Instructions:
- Place the raw ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic into a gallon-sized freezer-safe zip-top bag.
- Stir in the cooked rice, tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Squeeze out as much air as possible and seal the bag. Lay it flat on a baking sheet to ensure even thawing.
- Freeze for 2–4 hours until solid before storing in the main freezer for up to 3 months.
- Transfer the bag from the freezer to the refrigerator 24 hours before you plan to eat.
- Once thawed, gently massage the bag to redistribute the juices and break up any clumps of rice or meat.
- Stuff the filling into the prepared bell peppers and bake in a baking dish with beef broth or use a slow cooker.
