Ingredients:
- 2 salmon fillets, 6 oz each
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp neutral oil
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp Sriracha
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- Pat the salmon fillets completely dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat neutral oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Place salmon skin-side down, pressing firmly for 10 seconds to ensure maximum contact. Sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy and mahogany-colored.
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, Sriracha, lemon juice, grated ginger, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes.
- Flip the fillets, immediately pour the glaze into the pan, and brush the tops of the fish with the remaining glaze.
- Transfer the skillet to a preheated 400°F (200°C) oven and bake for 5-8 minutes until the sauce reduces into a thick syrup.
