Meet Maya Thorne
As a graduate of MIT's Computer Science program and Le Cordon Bleu's culinary arts, I've always been fascinated by the intersection of technology and cooking. My journey began in my family's kitchen, where my Japanese mother and British father introduced me to diverse culinary traditions and techniques.
Before founding EPPYC, I spent five years as a technology consultant for major restaurant chains and three years developing innovative cooking applications. This experience showed me the immense potential for technology to transform home cooking, making it more accessible, efficient, and enjoyable for everyone.
Today, I hold three patents in kitchen automation technology and continue to explore new ways to enhance the cooking experience through smart technology. When I'm not in the test kitchen or coding new features, you'll find me rock climbing, practicing yoga, or tending to my rooftop herb garden with my rescue cat, Mochi.
